The stall is immediately noticeable from the queue during dinner hours and waiting time is between 15-45 minutes depending on the crowd. They sold out around 8pm during our visit there and we got the 4th last serving (yes, i counted) before they ran out of crayfish.

This Ang Mo Kio hawker centre is fast becoming a place where i just keep returning to for different reasons. I was here last for the Sumo Prawn Noodles, you can read it here, which is right behind the white bee hoon stall i'm reviewing today.
This is another stall that has been making its rounds on social media as a must try white bee hoon in AMK and even my father recommended trying this because he read it on facebook.

Crayfish Seafood White Bee Hoon ($25)
For $25, you get a pretty massive plate of bee hoon that takes up half the table at the hawker center. The serving size is enough for 4 people, i was there with my dad, sister and wife and we all walked away full from the meal.
You get 4 crayfish for the meal, 1 for each person and it helps that it was all fresh and decent sized. No gooey and powdery texture here, just firm and sweet crayfish. You also get lots of clams, fishcake, prawns and cabbage in the pot.
The bee hoon has a nice smokey flavor to it, i call it the Chao Da or wok hei flavor, and is apparent in the whole dish. The dish is a different take from the (Bai)White Bee Hoon featured in Serangoon and Punggol and is more focused on the brownish broth it comes with.
I find the dish value for money and well portioned. Taste wise, its good but i do find the broth lacking something to make it a real "wow" dish. Maybe its lacking....some xo sauce or more seafood or fish during the preparation process? If the broth is anything similar to the broth used in Yan Ji, this would probably become my favorite dish ever. As it is, my group still enjoyed this very much and would return.
Verdict: Great food and good value.
