This place was a recommendation from our driver who was passing by and said their chicken is very well made. Turns out this is not the only one of its kind and there are many different outlets saving similarly cooked chicken. This is just one of the franchised outlets.

When we arrived, the placed was packed which is usually a good sign.

The interiors are nothing to shout about and feels like a hawker area with only 1 stall but is simple and clean.

This is essentially stir fried squid with chili and vegetables. I realize Taiwanese really like their squid and for good reason, the dish itself is sourish and spicy which is a great appetizer and the squid is very springy and chewy yet soft enough to bite through easily.
Garlic fried prawns. We felt this was nice enough and fresh. Otherwise unremarkable.

The star of the day and the signature dish of the place is this roasted chicken which, according to the guide is slowed roasted in earthen ware pots stacked one atop another to achieve the rich and beautiful color you see before you. It also benefits from the rotation during roasting for a complete even cook while the dripping juices preserve the juiciness of the chicken. It was indeed very tender, very juicy and just delicious. We finished this and wanted seconds but the waiting time would be another hour or longer. So we had to move on.
Last but not least is this traditional bamboo cooked rice which came highly recommended. What it is inside is simply whole grain glutinous rice and that is it. The bamboo adds a nice aroma to the overall rice but is otherwise quite normal. Would recommend going with plain white rice here as the price is not justified.

Verdict: Come for the chicken and skip the rest. We didn't try their other dishes so there may be other gems we're not aware of.
