Kinnaree is ranked 501 out of 9286 restaurants in Thailand Bangkok and is located on Soi 11 in a rather hidden and small pathway into what looks like residential estates. Once you get to the gate, there's a small pathway into the restaurant.

Everything looks very festive and you'll also get to take photographs with a stationary Tuk Tuk which is just outside the restaurant. The lights come on at night to illuminate and brings with it a very different vibe from the afternoon. Everything is much cozier and more comfortable at night.

The interiors are decked in nice wooden furniture and modern thai decorations which makes it very comfortable. You'll notice their attention to detail from the decor to the plates, glasses and service.
Fried Wanton
Simple as it seems, this little wanton started the meal with a bang when you bite into its crispy shell. The marinated ground pork is absolutely flavorful and bursts in your mouth.
Phad Thai
Fresh crunchy prawns and bean sprouts, soft and chewy rice rolls make this phad thai every bit as good as the best places. Beware the chili flakes, not for the spice challenged.
Garlic Pork
As one of our compatriots don't like basil, we instead chose to try the garlic fried pork. Its succulent and very garlicky and appetizing.
Chicken Satay
Their take on chicken satay is an interesting experiment wrapped in pandan leaves for the flavor and to keep the marinate in the meat.
Chicken Cashew
Tender and juicy chicken done right. The sweet shrimp paste which is usually used in Rojak is featured here and gels surprisingly well when mixed with the chicken and cashew nuts together.
Tom Yum Seafood
The quintessential thai hot and sour soup is clear based and very fiery. It tastes strongly of cilantro and lime leaves and is best had while still hot. I couldn't really take too much of this as i really can't take spicy stuff.
Tri Flavor Fish
This fish is a superbly bright spot in the meal. It looks spicy with all the chilis but it is really more sweet with a hint of heat. The fish itself is trout and is fried with all the meat already nicely battered. And best of all, the meat is still very much tender inside that fried batter and the tri flavor sauce really brings out the best of this dish. Awesome.
Pineapple Fried Rice
Fragrant and served in its usual pineapple case. This is good to go with all the spicy food you'll have.
Tod Mun (Fish Cake)
Their fish cake is grounded with curry paste, beans and fish of course and is another nice surprise in that its bursting with flavor. It has curry, so i love it.

Kinnaree is a more up market way to experience thai cuisine in Bangkok. However, the food served is of a high standard and almost fine dining standard. I'd say give it a splurge if you can afford it for an experience.

Verdict: Make a reservation and give it a chance. Bring your visa or mastercard.
