Malacca Day 1 Feasting - Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart

Malacca Day 1 Feasting

Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart
Address: Makhota Parade Ground Floor Lot KG86

There was no queue for this baked cheese tart in Malacca but the tantalizingly nice yellow decor and trays upon trays of baked cheese tarts were difficult to resist. You'll also find another stall right next to San Shu Gong at Jonker Street.
This is not to be mistaken for the currently famous Bake Cheese Tart from Japan. Rather, this is an offshoot from Secret Recipe and its honestly not too bad.
A box of 6 cost Ringgit 29 or approximately SGD 9.20 based on current exchange rates in 2016.
The box tells you there are multiple ways to eat this. You can:
1: Reheat the tarts for the smooth melt in your mouth cheese
2: Keep in the fridge for a harder texture
3: Keep in the freezer for an ice cream hard experience. We've tried all 3 methods and they were all pretty good.

The taste test proper shows the tarts have a buttery tough crust with nice melty cheese in the middle when first bought or heated. Its marginally sweet so it'll work for savory eaters and the different textures you can get from cooling it also appeals very much.
At SGD 1.80 per piece, this is a good quality product and good value too compared to the $4-5 for the "original" which you'll need to queue for.
