Herbs Bistro Part 2

Herbs Bistro Part 2

As we've mentioned in our first review, we'll be back for lunch and this is a lunch review of our favorite western hideout in Pasir Ris now.

Address: 1 Pasir Ris Close Marketplace @ Downtown East, E! Avenue, #02-333, S519599
Budget: $10 - 40

For lunch, they have this awesome offer where food is 1 for 1 promotion!
The view is decidedly different from the evening we were here. Brighter and surprisingly, pretty packed for a weekday lunch in the middle of nowhere.

Seafood Aglio Olio ($14.80)

Al dente, hot and served with fresh seafood, the Seafood Aglio Olio is a well executed dish and quite a steal for the lunch price of $14.80 divided by 2 which means its only $7.90 nett!

Crispy Roasted Baby Chicken ($14.80)
This baby roasted chicken is an extremely popular dish as evidenced by the large number of tables who order the same item. The wedges as you can see is likely made in house due to its irregular shape but we did find that it could have benefited from a longer frying process. The coleslaw was great, sourish and reminded us of those you find in Arnold's joint. The chicken is a decent size, fragrant with spices and crispy.
Belgium Chocolate Gelato ($10)
The gelato is a must try and order i feel. This belgium chocolate is thick, rich and a little bitter but its exactly what i like about it.

Verdict: This visit, though not as exciting as the first time, still solidified this place as a great eating spot with a next environment, great quality food and value for money for lunch especially. 2 thumbs up!
