In an unassuming coffeeshop hidden in Sengkang, this gem of the wanton noodle has captured my heart and taste buds for some time and i would like to share this with the world. 

At first glance, it doesn't look very special and would seem like any run-of-the-mill wanton noodles you can find everywhere. Order a bowl though and you'll see why people keep returning for this every weekday afternoon.

Char Siew Dumpling Noodles ($3.80)

For a small price of $3.80, you get a generous portion of noodles in a very specific setting on the plate. I always opt for 2 types of dumplings, the soup based one and the fried ones which he'll provide at no extra cost. In total, there'll be 4 dumplings, a good serving of char siew, some kai lan and lots of delicious, springy and absolutely tasty noodles.

Add some chili sauce to the dish and you'll get some heat along with the tasty sweet sauce which comes with the noodles. 

This one dish has me coming back whenever i can just to enjoy a good bowl of noodles and the dumplings are thick and stuffed with meat and some water chestnut for that crunchy feel. Its just awesome.

Verdict: Editor's choice for no pretense and simple good food.
