Na Na Curry

Address: Blk 115 Bukit Merah View Market & Food Centre, 151115
Award: Bib Gourmand 2016
Budget: Below $10 per person
Located in this unassuming hawker centre is a bib gourmand winning curry stall which has been attracting loyal customer over the years. The owners and nice and friendly and their stall is unpretentious and simple.
A modest queue for a weekday lunch timing. Tables around the stall all hold empty bowls of curry from the stall and there's no shortage of people slurping and sweating their way through a bowl of hot goodness.
Pricing is reasonable. What we had was a piece of fish meat curry and a bowl of vegetable curry for just $8.
This fish curry is the star of the day for us. The curry is extremely spicy and pulls no punches while the fish meat is simple cooked to perfection and undeniably fresh. The meat is firm, sweet and generously portioned. For $5, this is a steal even when i'm perspiring my way through the dish.
The vegetables were cooked well, slightly crunchy and again accompanied by some of the spiciest vegetable curry i've ever had. I was completely unprepared for how spicy both dishes were but i need to say that i enjoyed the meal and will be back for the chicken and curry fish head one day.

Overall: For people who love their curry spicy, i think this is a great place to try. For non spicy food eaters, you'll need to steer clear, this is the real stuff. Not the watered down versions elsewhere. You've been warned.

Verdict: Reasonable and generous comfort food of great quality.
